How to Cancel Apple Music UK

← Back to App  ·  Subscription Guide  ·  Cancel Apple TV+  ·  Published March 2026

Apple Music is a streaming service with no free tier — you are either on a paid subscription or you are not. Unlike Spotify, there is no ad-supported option, so cancelling means losing access to the catalogue entirely. Before you cancel, understand what happens to music you have downloaded and how iCloud Music Library is affected.

Cancelling on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Find Apple Music (or Apple One) and tap it.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Cancelling via Apple ID on the Web

  1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
  2. Under Subscriptions, click Manage.
  3. Find Apple Music and click Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling via iTunes on Windows

  1. Open iTunes and go to Account > View My Account.
  2. Sign in, then scroll to Settings and click Manage next to Subscriptions.
  3. Find Apple Music and click Edit, then Cancel Subscription.

Key Points to Know

Downloaded music

Music downloaded from Apple Music for offline listening will become unplayable once your subscription ends. Only tracks you purchased outright from the iTunes Store remain yours permanently.

iCloud Music Library

If iCloud Music Library is turned on, your personal music library will be hidden from your devices after cancellation. Your files are not deleted, but they will not be visible until you resubscribe or turn off iCloud Music Library and sync manually.

Family and student plans

If you are the account holder on a Family plan, cancelling removes Apple Music access for all family members when the subscription expires.

Apple One subscribers

Apple Music is included in all Apple One tiers. If you are on Apple One, you cannot cancel Apple Music individually — you would need to cancel or downgrade your Apple One plan.

Music subscriptions, especially when bundled, are easy to overlook. Use Sub-Site to track every recurring payment in one place — privately, with no login required.
