Amazon Prime offers a bundle of benefits, but if you're not using the fast delivery, Prime Video, or Prime Music enough to justify the cost, cancelling is a sensible financial decision. The process in the UK is simple, and you may even be eligible for a partial refund.

Cancelling Amazon Prime on the Web

  1. Go to Amazon.co.uk and sign in.
  2. Hover over Account & Lists and click Your Prime Membership.
  3. Click Manage Membership then End Membership.
  4. Amazon will show you the benefits you'll lose and may offer to pause. Select End on [Date] to confirm.

Cancelling via the Mobile App

  1. Tap the profile icon in the Amazon app.
  2. Go to Your Account > Prime Membership.
  3. Tap Manage Membership then End Membership, following the prompts.

Important Details

Partial refund policy

If you cancel part-way through a yearly membership, Amazon will typically refund the unused portion, minus the value of any benefits you've already used (such as free delivery on orders). Monthly members are not charged after cancellation takes effect.

What you lose immediately

  • Prime Video streaming
  • Prime Music
  • Prime Reading and Prime Gaming
  • Free One-Day and Same-Day Delivery — you'll revert to standard delivery times and charges

Consider pausing instead

Amazon allows you to pause your Prime membership for up to three months if you're going away or want a temporary break. This is a useful option if you plan to resubscribe later, as it prevents you from losing your preferences and having to set everything up again.

Regularly reviewing bundled services like Prime is key to smart spending. Use Sub-Site for a clear view of all your subscriptions in one private place — no login, no account, all data in your browser.
